Administration | IMPORTANT : Bill.com for ACH

Dear Franchisees,

Starting September 1, 2024, Teapioca International will transition to using Bill.com as the vendor for all ACH withdrawals, including the Royalty Fees and National Branding Fund. By moving to Bill.com, TPI can streamline and automate the invoicing and ACH process, leading to increased efficiency and savings.

There will be no change or action required on your end. However, you will see the Bill.com reference alongside the Teapioca International name in your bank statement for Royalty Fees, National Branding, and any ACH withdrawals from TPI.

Administration | Update on First Responder and Military Discount

Dear Franchisees,

We currently offer a 25% discount to first responders—law enforcement, firefighters, EMS personnel, and military members—through our -M First Responder Discount program. It’s our honor to support these courageous individuals. The -M button indicates this is Royalty Free from the Weekly ACH Sales report.

Due to inflation and profit margin considerations, we’re allowing flexibility in the discount rate. Franchisees can choose their own discount percentages and are encouraged to participate. To join, please submit a Work Request with your discount percentage.

For participating stores, we recommend displaying a laminated or plastic sign at the entrance. Templates for the First Responder Discount Notice Sign are available on OneHub: https://ws.onehub.com/folders/6ka3plug.

Marketing | Third Annual Boba 88 Celebration

Hello everyone!

Boba was invented in 1988, kickstarting the industry that eventually gave rise to Teapioca Lounge. To commemorate the invention of boba, we will be having our third annual BOBA 88 celebration from Thursday, August 8 (8/8) to Friday, August 9.

Different from previous years, this BOBA 88 promotion does not involve a discount at the point of sale, and does not require any action by franchisees or staff. Instead, Teapioca Rewards members will automatically earn 88 bonus points when they purchase any Cream Tea beverage.

We are announcing the implementation of our new “Drink-Remake Policy” to enhance customer satisfaction. This standardized approach ensures that when a customer’s drink does not meet expectations, we can address their concerns consistently and fairly across all Teapioca Lounge locations.

This policy enhances exceptional customer service, promptly address any issues, and reinforce our commitment to offering the best boba tea experience.

Administration | Reminder: P&L Submission for Q1 and Q2 2024

Dear Franchisees,

This is a reminder that your 2024 Q1 and Q2 P&L Statements and Balance Sheets need to be submitted promptly. You can upload these documents by visiting the Z Portal at https://z.teapiocaintl.com/ and using the P&L submission Jotform under the Finance tab.

Beginning at the end of this quarter (Q3), the submission of quarterly profit and loss (P&L) reports and Balance Sheets will be strictly enforced. Please be aware that failure to submit these reports within fifteen (15) days after each quarter’s end will constitute a default under your Franchisee Agreement, and late fees may apply. For more details, please refer to Article 12, Section 12.4.
Timely submission is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at admin@teapiocalounge.com.

Administration | Premium Tea Labels Auditing. Please Reply to Admin.

Dear Franchisees,

On March 19th, 2024, TPI sent out an announcement communicating the deployment of our new Premium Tea Labeling System. You all received the first set of the labels through TeaVerse, and they should have been placed on your premium tea canisters by now.

To better assist you on the positioning of the label, we are auditing all the stores to ensure the labels are placed on the canisters correctly. We are requiring you to take a picture of your current Premium Tea Canister display and submit it to admin@teapiocalounge.com by July 26th, 2024.

Please let us know if you need more information. If you need more labels, please purchase them from TeaVerse.

Administration | Introducing Limited Edition Cherry Blossom Drinks

Dear Franchisees,

As part of our ongoing efforts to creatively promote our phased-out products, we are thrilled to introduce 2 NEW “Cherry Blossom” drinks. These exciting additions are aimed at driving foot traffic to your stores by creating a sense of urgency among customers to experience these “Limited Edition” beverages before they’re gone. These drinks will be available at all locations on Monday, July 22, 2024.

Our marketing approach will be exclusively digital, focusing on CDs, TV menus, and social media platforms. There will be no printed posters.

Attached you will find recipes and a reference sheet. Please review these materials with your staff to ensure they are prepared for the launch on July 22nd. The recipes adhere to our standard flavor guidelines, and the POS buttons can be found in a new folder labeled “Limited Edition.”
